Darlings! Yes, the Fab has been away for a while. As the Fab explained below, Mary was all off on a tear and there is nothing a Fab can do about that when it happens.
In the midst of Mary’s creative cavalcade she was cruising eBay looking for magnets to cast into some of her creations, to turn them into the height of domestic decoration – the refrigerator magnet. Don’t scoff Darlings, in the world of accessible and meaningful art, your child’s crayon on filler paper gesture drawing held to the fridge with a favorite magnet beats anything in a fancy frame found at the Louvre.
A hand written grocery list held to the fridge by a clever or meaningful or funny or useful or themed or matching your decor magnet becomes performance art as you pull the list down, add to it, put it back up, take it down again to scratch things off all in a slow motion commentary on the ever changing nature of domestic life. Darlings it IS Art if you mean it to be. Well it is.
Anywho, as Mary was eBaying magnets, she hit one of those full stop, laugh out loud, take a closer look, just have to buy it right now moments.
But first, Darlings…
It is a known fact that there are two kinds of people on this earth; people who love cats, and people who know someone that loves cats.
You may be able to tell from the photo below, Mary is one of the first sort of people.
This is a sleeping barn cat. You may notice that he is not only not in a barn, he is napping sprawled on the bed. Apparently, Mary thinks that "Barn Cat" is a breed rather than a lifestyle.
Mary claims to have “barn cats”. I think that she thinks that because her cats go outside when they want to, and catch mice when they are in the mood, and have actually been seen near the pole barns, then they are therefore “barn cats” instead of “pretty much where ever they please, when ever they please cats”.
“Barn Cats” sounds more country and it is far snappier.
That the “Barn Cats” also come inside when they want to, but spend almost no time in any building even vaguely resembling a barn, seems to not register with Mary.
Anyway, the laugh out loud moment came when Mary was wandering around eBay and spotted the artwork below.

Mary poked the “buy it now” button as fast as she could, so she now has a funny beautiful magnet on her fridge that she sees and laughs at every day.
