Take that up with Mary dears, she has been her usual horrible self, hogging all of our time to herself to work. Sigh. To get even with her, Fabiola is going to tell you a funny Mary story, that will at the least annoy her, but it makes the Fab laugh every time.
Last summerish, almost fall, up the road came an ambulance followed by a deputy lights a blazin, but no siren. They slowed and stopped at the cemetery right across the road paused then moved on to the next road up which is a narrow track and leads only to the other cemetery ’bout a quarter mile up the road. Strangest thing. Eventually all the emergency responders ended up at the north neighbor but one where they told him the reason for the odd visits to places where residents have no need of medical services nor are they likely to have done anything (recently) to require the intervention of the law.
Neighbor later that day traveled down the road to talk to the crabby guy and this is where the story gets funny. Neighbor guy tells crabby that someone called the authorities and said that a deranged woman was seen wandering around the (local) cemetery. Crabby’s immediate response to neighbor guy — “Mary isn’t even home, she is down south working.” Everyone thought that was hysterically funny, except Mary, when she heard about it.
Darlings, the Fab will be back when she has time again, but who knows when that will be.
